Cobra Springs is the secondary production facility for Cobra Watertech and it supports the primary facility in Krugersdorp. The company made a name for itself as the market leader in plumbing fittings but its service offering has naturally evolved to become more lifestyle oriented. Established in 1966, Cobra amalgamated with Sanbra and Peglers South Africa, creating the largest plumbing fittings manufacturer in those years. In the late 1980s, Cobra Watertech was born when Cobra Brassware merged with Castle Brassworks. In 2004, the company was sold to the Dawn Group and it is currently part of Dawn’s portfolio of brands.
The original factory in Krugersdorp is still the primary production facility, with the Springs factory supporting it. Together, these factories employ over 800 staff from local communities.
